LCA MultiMedia Miniconf
LCA Multimedia is a miniconf part of linux.conf.au 2008, the annual Australian Linux & open source developers' conference held in Melbourne in 2008.

The aim of this mini-conf is to allow Linux audio and video developers and users to meet and share ideas, and also to discuss multimedia-related issues with the developers of the kernel, networking and desktop systems. For all users, it will be a great way to see and hear the variety of tools available and to contribute.
How to attend
To attend LCA Multimedia, you must register for the main LCA conference. During the first 2 days of the conference several miniconfs are held. During these two days, you can attend LCA Multimedia and other miniconfs.
linux.conf.au (http://linux.conf.au/) is Australia's annual technical conference about Free Software. Fun, informal and seriously technical, linux.conf.au draws together Free and Open Source Software developers from across the world. It will be held from January 28th to February 2nd, 2008 at The University of Melbourne.
In the week before LCA, FOMS (Foundations of Open Media Software) will be held. FOMS is a workshop for open media software developers to attack bugs together and work on new challenges. FOMS is a task-oriented developer workshop, and does not provide presentations for a general audience.
